Tamil Nadu boys beat Uttar Pradesh 25-23, 25-20, 25-15 while the host’s girls’ team defeated West Bengal 25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 25-11 in the finals of the St. Joseph’s mini national volleyball championship on Thursday at the St. Joseph’s College of Engineering campus.

Tamil Nadu men were well served by Rajadurai, and UP also seemed to struggle against Selvavinaygam’s jump serve and Antony’s placements.

The girls’ final went four sets, with Ishita Roy and Megha Paul helping Bengal bounce back in the third set from an eight-point deficit. However, TN’s Vishnu Priya and Sobiya were just too strong.
