Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary hopes to get back the India berth having recovered from injury that kept him off the national team in last couple of series in the country.
Having recovered from the back injury that had sidelined him for a month, Tiwary said he is playing the club-level matches in full gear and hoped to do well for India A side that will play the touring Australian side next month.
“It is unfortunate that I missed out the two home one-day series against Pakistan and England. Injuries are part of a player’s life and I will have to take it that way. Now I have recovered fully and am hopeful of getting back in the squad,” Tiwary said here on Thursday.
“My selection to the India A squad is a positive sign and I would like to grab the opportunity by scoring some good runs if I am selected to play,” Tiwary said. — Principal Correspondent
