The allocated tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy match between India and Pakistan scheduled for June 15 at Edgbaston in Birmingham, was sold out within half an hour of its release for online sales.
“We’ve been staggered by the interest shown in Tuesday’s ticket sales,” said Tournament Director Steve Elworthy, adding: “The allocation of tickets for India versus Pakistan sold out in under 30 minutes, with tickets released for other matches, including the final, also selling out. The tickets that were released on Tuesday sold very quickly.”
Adult tickets for the ICC Champions Trophy are priced in three categories — Gold, Silver and Family Stand — and range from £20 (for a group game in the Family Stands) up to £60 (Gold ticket for the final).
Tickets for under-16s are priced at £5 for the entire tournament (including the final), but the youngsters are supposed to attend with an adult.
A new pricing structure also sees the introduction of tickets for under-21s, priced between £10-£25.
