A four-wicket haul by K. Vignesh (four for 14) helped Tiruvallur DCA dismiss Salem DCA for 65 on the final day and register a 235-run victory in the final of the TNCA under-19 inter-district cricket tournament final, here on Saturday.
Periyasamy scalps five
Periyasamy’s five-wicket haul (five for 46) and S.I. Vasudevan’s three-wicket haul went in vain as Tiruvallur was unable to chase down a stiff target of 301 and in the process, was bowled out for 65.
The scores: Final: Tiruvallur DCA 353 and 60 in 31 overs (A. Jerome 27, Periyasamy five for 46, S.I. Vasudevan three for 12) bt Salem DCA 113 and 65 in 31.2 overs (K. Vignesh four for 14).
