India will lead the challenge in a three-nation friendship handball tournament that will be held at IOC Stadium, Haldia from Friday.

Bangladesh and Nepal are the other two participants in the tournament, which is promotional event conceived by the Handball Federation of India for countries in the SAARC region. The tournament, having both the men's and women's events, has seen a congregation of around 150 players, referees and officials from the participating nations. Afghanistan and Sri Lanka have already pulled out citing logistic problems.
