Enough of experimentation

Too much experimentation has been done with the Indian cricket team. Certain things should not change Rahul Dravid at one drop and Sachin Tendulkar-Virender Sehwag as openers. Irfan Pathan may have failed with the ball but he must be in the line-up for his useful batting. The experimentation must end.

The right balance

Ideal balancing of fitness, training and skill determines performance excellence in any game, more so in cricket. Of late, fitness and training seems to exceed the proportions, potentially increasing risk of injury to the players. It would be better to emphasise more on practice of skills in the nets.

Impressive Sania

By beating top-seeded Martina Hingis in the Korea Open, Sania Mirza not only avenged her defeat in Kolkata but also reaffirmed her talent and fighting spirit. If she plays to her potential and sharpens her concentration, Sania can be a threat to any top-ranking player in the women's circuit.
