Record entries of over 560 have come in for the National sub-junior and junior squash championship which gets underway at the Indian Squash Academy on Monday.

Competitions will be held in ten categories in the individual event — boys and girls under-11, 13, 15, 17 and 19. The top juniors vying for the boys' under-19 title are Asian junior champion Ravi Dixit and Ramit Tandon, both from Tamil Nadu.

In the boys' under-17, rising star Mahesh Mangaonkar will be the firm favourite.

In the girls' under-19 category, Anaka Alankamony (TN) and Ankita Sharma (Maharashtra) have been seeded to reach the finals while the top two girls in the under-17 are Saumya Kakri (Maharashtra) and Aparajitha Balamurukan (TN).

Girls: U-11: 1. Nikita Joshi (Mah); 2. Daksha Pathak (Mah). U-13: 1. Adya Advani (Del); 2. Aishwarya Bhattacharya (Mah). U-15: 1. Lakshya Ragvendra (TN); 2. Anandita Gupta (MP). U-17: 1.
