THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: St. Thomas FC overcame Directorate of Health Services 2-1 to record its second win in the Thiruvananthapuram District ‘B’ division football league at the Medical College ground on Thursday.

Sojan and Darwin scored the goals for St. Thomas FC while Anoop scored the consolation goal for DHS.

Meanwhile, AG’s Office Recreation club has pulled out of the ‘A’ division league citing non-availability of players as the reason.

AG’s Office played only one match in the league which was against RBI and had lost the match. The club now stands to be relegated to the ‘B’ division.

Pettah Youngsters another ‘A’ division club, which did not participate in this year’s league, also is to be relegated to the lower division.

Both clubs also lose the right to cast their votes in the general body of the Thiruvananthapuram District Football Association for a period of three years. — Principal Correspondent
