: Sri Sankara defeated Chennai Public School by nine wickets in the AVM CA U-12 T20 cricket tournament held here recently.

The scores : Loyola CA 43 in 14.3 overs lost to AVM CA 45 for one in 7.1 overs (Ram Aravind 33 n.o.).

Sky Lab 93 for six in 20 overs bt AVM CA ‘B’ in 17.3 overs (Tilak three for 11, Rahul three for 10).

Chennai Public School 79 in 19.5 overs (Vaidiyanathan three for nine) lost to Sri Sankara 81 for one in 12.2 overs (A. Nivethan 31 n.o., Abhijeeth 32).

Tamil Nadu reigns

Tamil Nadu won the overall honours in both the boys’ and girls’ sections of the National sub-junior throwball championship, organised by Adhiparasakthi Engineering College, at Melmaruvathur here on Thursday.

Cricket tournament

The SSCA champions league T20 tournament begins in Chennai on March 9 with matches scheduled only on Saturdays, Sundays and Government holidays.
