Sri Lanka XI recorded a 15-run win over Andhra Pradesh to enter the semi-final of the fifth V. Hanumanth Rao Cup All India invitational T-20 cricket tournament (under-19) here on Friday.
Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 146 for six with Imal (48) being the top-scorer. In reply, Andhra Pradesh fell short of the target by 15 runs despite a fine innings from Mahesh (74).
Bangladesh also entered the last four stage with a convincing, 142-run win over Chennai.
Tamil Nadu also recorded an emphatic, nine-wicket win over Pune to move into the next phase.

Tamil Nadu recorded a thumping, 180-run win over Kerala in the South Zone under-14 (two-day) cricket tournament here on Friday.
Chasing 252 for victory, Kerala folded up for 71 with S. Ajith Ram and R. Aditya Rishi picking four wickets apiece.

St. Andrew’s School won the 10th Sachdev Sports Cup inter-schools football tournament with a 4-3 win via tie-breaker over Pallavi Model School in the final at Trimulgherry Village here.
The teams were locked goalless at the end of full-time and in the tie-breaker, Jayudu, Sanjit, Janakiram and Adnan scored for the winners while Ashwath, Shashank and Abhishek were successful for the losers.
