India’s promising Arundhati Pantawane scored a hard-earned win over Ying Chun Lin (Chinese Taipei) 18-21, 21-13, 21-16 in the women’s singles, while Ruthwika Shivani got the measure of fancied Neha Pandit 10-21, 21-16, 21-18.
