HYDERABAD: South Central Railway drubbed Hyderabad Sporting 5-0 in the SAAP premier league prize money football tournament at Gymkhana Grounds here on Wednesday.

Winger Azeem put SCR ahead in the sixth minute. Ten minutes later Vijay was on target with a solo effort. Just before the break, Jude Antony made it 3-0. In the second session, Aflred scored off a long-ranger and Nidhi scored off a free-kick to complete the tally.

In another match, SAI (Kurnool, STC) recorded a solitary goal win over State Bank of India with B.Antony scoring of a 35-yard hit in the 59th minute.

Vijaya School wins title

Vijaya High School (Kapra) scored an emphatic, 5-1 win over Vignan’s Prabodananda Prashanti Niketan (Ghatkesar) in the boys’ final of the Ranga Reddy District Olympic Association silver jubilee celebrations hockey tournament here.

MJCET Triumphs

Muffakhan Jah College of Engineering & Technology defeated AV Degree College 55-33 in the final of the Inter-college basketball tournament here with Varun and Wahajuddin being the main scorers.

Earlier, MJCET got the better of IIMC 33-8 in the semifinal.

Sangram misses century
