The Bombay Presidency Golf Course is proving to be fruitful for Jaipur's Rohan Sharma, who maintained his lead at the end of the third day in the Toyota Etios Western junior and sub-junior golf on Thursday.
Sharma, from Rambagh Golf Club, carded another consistent round of 71 in category ‘A' to finish his third round with a total of 210 (68, 71, 71) and lead the field after 54 holes.
Sharma is closely followed by Trishul Chinappa and Tarundeep Chadda, who finished their third rounds with a total score of 213 (74, 68, 71) and 219 (69, 76, 73) over 54 holes respectively.
In Category ‘B', Delhi golfer Honey Biasoya maintained his lead with a total score of 222 (74, 76, 72) on the third day of the tournament. Honey is being pursued by Manu Gandas (74, 77, 76) and Mumbai's Aarush Ahuja (75, 76, 76), both on 227 at the end of round three.
In category ‘C', Prakhar Asawa from Rambagh Golf Club was leading the field with a total score of 219 (70, 75, 74). Piyush Sangwan, from DLF Golf & Country Club at one over 225 (78, 71, 76) was in second place.
Kolkata golfer Tutul Ali was placed third with a total score of 231 (82, 75, 74).
In Category ‘D', Digraj Singh Gill bettered the performance from yesterday and topped with a score of 161, one point ahead of Aadil Bedi at a score of 162. Amongst the girls, Seher Atwal from Delhi led Category ‘C' with a score of 153 (77, 76) followed by Ankita Kedlaya at 160 (81, 79). — Special Correspondent
