KOLKATA: The Pailan World School announced its plans to have the first residential tennis academy of eastern India.

The academy will have 100 trainees initially with former Davis Cup captain Jaidip Mukerjea drafted in as the chief coach.

The academy will start in March with four synthetic floodlit courts and has plans to expand the facility in future.

Apart from involving tennis coaches of the city, the academy also plans to have an exchange programme with the famed Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy of U.S.A. — Principal Correspondent
