Ashwin to lead TN ‘A’

Ashwin Venkataraman will lead Tamil Nadu ‘A’ against Punjab ‘A’ in the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy Elite Group ‘A’ match from October 28 to 31 at Dindigul.

Favourite Kancheepuram amassed a healthy first innings lead against host Tirupur and entered the final of the TNCA under-14 inter-District cricket tournament at the TEA Public School grounds here on Friday.

After bundling out the host for 71 on the opening day, the visitor, thanks to a fine 123 by Nidhish S. Rajagopal, declared its innings at 364 for nine for the lead and a place in the final.
