Dhyanchand HC rallies to win

Down 0-3 by the 10th minute, Dhyanchand Hockey Club (Bangalore) roared back in sterling fashion to down Chitradurga Hockey Club 5-3 in a C Division league match at the KSHA stadium here on Wednesday.

Abhishek (fifth and 10th minutes) and Chethan Ram (eighth) struck for Chitradurga HC to give it a flattering start, but all that came to nought once Dhyanchand HC began to find its rhythm and combined well to score five times. Dhananjay scored three and Bharath and Mohan struck once each to give Dhyanchand HC a fantastic victory.

In another match, Aiyappa Hockey Academy B also came from behind to win 3-1 over ITC Sports Club. Rahul gave ITC a 34th minute lead. But Harsh, Sundar Adige and Jojin found the target in that order to give Aiyappa HA B full points.

The scores: Dhyanchand HC (Bangalore) 5 (Dhananjay 3, Bharath, Mohan) bt Chitradurga HC 3 (Abhishek 2, Chethan Ram); Aiyappa HA B 3 (Harsh, Sundar Adige, Jojin) bt ITC SC 1 (Rahul).
