A contingent of 195 boys and 92 girls will represent Tamil Nadu in the South Zone junior athletics meet to be held at Madurai from August 21 to 23. The top two in each event will be selected for the National inter-zone junior meet to be held at Kochi from September 22 to 24.
The kits and uniform for the TN athletes will be distributed at the TNAA office, JN Stadium on August 19 by T.K. Rajendran, ADGP, secretary, TNAA.
Kannan in sole lead
Sa Kannan, with seven points, emerged sole leader after the seventh round of the 4 Knights Chess Academy all-India FIDE-rated chess tournament here on Saturday.

D. Tamilselvan and Pon. Kavitha won the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the Bharathidasan University inter-collegiate cross country race here recently.
H.H. The Rajah’s College bagged the team championship in the men’s and women’s categories.
