Rani struck six goals as Government Senior Secondary School, Shahabad (Haryana), outplayed Government Lallengunga High School, Thenzawl (Mizoram), 12-1 in a Pool ‘G' match of the Nehru junior girls' hockey tournament at the National Stadium here on Sunday.

Navneet Kaur (3), Hardeep Kaur (2) and Sandeep Kaur were the other scorers for the winner. Lalnunsiami found the consolation goal for the losing team.

In a Pool ‘F' match, Kiddies Corner School, Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), drew Birsa Munda Vidyapitha, Rourkela (Orissa), 3-3.

Rourkela team's Surabhi Pradhan (2) and Punam Barla found the target.

Niharika Saxena opened the account for the Gwalior outfit. Deeksha scored twice in the second half to draw parity for the side.

Kritu Rai Inter College, Gazipur (Uttar Pradesh), recorded a convincing 6-2 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-18 (Chandigarh), in a Pool ‘H' engagement.

Pooja Yadav, Garima Singh, Priyanka Singh, Priyadarshini Yadav, Soni Singh and Soni Gaud contributed a goal apiece in the Uttar Pradesh team's victory. Chandigarh's Navdeep Kaur and Jayanti reduced the margin.
