VISAKHAPATNAM: Rajasekhara Reddy of PRISM College scored an unbeaten 104 and Giri remained not out on 63 in the team’s six-wicket win over GITAM (IT) College in the Andhra University inter-college cricket tournament here on Monday.

On Sunday, Dr. L. Bullayya College regained the chess title after eight years and also won the volleyball and basketball titles.

AU College of Engineering claimed the table tennis event after a gap of four years.

Dr. V.S. Krishna Government Degree College won the ball badminton title. GITAM (IT) was runner-up.

The results: Cricket: GITAM (IT) 192 in 39.3 overs (Abhinav 52, Sagar 33, Kiran 31, Pratap 27, Vijay three for 23, Suresh three for 43) lost to PRISM College 195 for four (Rajasekhara Reddy 104 n.o., Giri 63 n.o., Gourav Bajaj three for 53).

Dr. L.B. College 242 for six in 35 overs (K. Bharat Reddy 71, P. Trinadh 45 n.o., Sunil Kumar 41, M.S.S. Leo 29) bt Sanketika Vidya Peeth Engineering College 175 for eight in 35 overs (Sachin 75).

Volleyball: Final: Dr. L. B. College bt AU College of Engineering 25-8,25-19.

Basketball: Final: Dr. L.B. College bt Gayatri Vidya Parishad 34-26.
