Railways will not host any First Class match at the Karnail Singh Stadium here for the second season running.

According to Board sources, the outfield did not meet the required standard even though the Railway Sports Promotion Board had re-laid the pitches following complaints in the 2011-12 season.

The venue was banned by the Board until the playing conditions met the standard set by the Ground and Pitches Committee.

Last season, Railways had played its home matches at the East Coast Railway Sports Association Ground in Bhubaneswar. The team will stick to the same venue for its home matches this season.
