The top-seeded Purav Raja and Divij Sharan sailed into the doubles semifinals of the $35,000 Japan Indoor Challenger tennis tournament in Kyoto on Thursday.

The Indian pair will be challenged in the semifinals by unseeded Andrea Arnaboldi of Italy and Domink Meffert of Germany, who accounted for third-seeded Kiwis, Artem Sitak and Jose Statham in straight sets.

However, Yuki Bhambri, in partnership with Yasutaka Uchiyama of Japan, went down in two tie-breaks to second-seeded Chris Guccione and Matt Reid of Australia.
