Punjab and Delhi won their last league matches in contrasting styles to qualify for the 10-team Vijay Hazare one-day knockout phase to be played in Hyderabad next week.
On the final day of the North zone league matches in three centres in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, Punjab crushed the host by 10 wickets to top the points table at Dharamshala.
Delhi finished second after being declared winner by 28 runs against Services in a shortened match at Bilaspur and Haryana fought hard to down Jammu and Kashmir by 40 runs at Amtar.
Punjab (21 points), which had already qualified for the knockout phase, won with a bonus point, with openers Ravi Inder Singh (76 not out, 10x4, 1x6) and Chandan Madan (40 not out,4x4) making short work of the 130-run target.
In a match truncated to 38 overs per side, Services set Delhi a target of 206, with Yashpal Singh hitting a half-century. Delhi looked well on course at 172 for three in 29.5 overs after riding a second-wicket stand of 129 runs between Punit Bisht (78) and Unmukt Chand (64) when play was called off.
In the end, calculations followed, and as per the revised target (145 in 29.5 overs), Delhi was found ahead by 28 runs.
At Amtar, Haryana battled from 102 for seven to reach 230 for nine in 50 overs following a 109-run eighth-wicket stand between Harshal Patel (64 not out) and Rahul Dalal (56). Haryana managed to bowl Jammu and Kashmir out for 190 after Sonu Rathee and Yuzvendra Chahal took three wickets each.
The scores: At Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh 129 in 30.5 overs (Amit Kumar 39, Sandeep Sharma five for 53) lost to Punjab 130 for no loss in 24.2 overs (Ravi Inder Singh 76 not out, Chandan Madan 40 not out).
At Bilaspur: Services 205 for seven in 38 overs (Yashpal Singh 52, Devender Lochab 44, Pradeep Sangwan three for 73) lost to Delhi 172 for three in 29.5 overs (Punit Bisht 78, Unmukt Chand 64). Revised target .
At Amtar: Haryana 230 for nine in 50 overs (Sandeep Godara 31, Rahul Dalal 56, Harshal Patel 64 not out, Parveez Rasool three for 48) beat Jammu and Kashmir 190 in 45.3 overs (Ahmed Bandy 53, Parveez Rasool 47, Sonu Rathee three for 31,Yuzvendra Chahal three for 41).
