Earlier, the PSG Tech women marched into the ball badminton final, defeating SNS Tech 29-12, 29-10, while SREC scored a hard-fought 20-29, 29-25, 29-24 win over SKCT.

Chennai defeated a fighting Kerala 15-13, 16-14 in the doubles premier division of the eighth inter-State Sepak Takraw tournament at the PSG College of Technology on Friday.

PSG Sarvajana lifts title

PSG Sarvajana HSS (Coimbatore) defeated Sports Hostel (Coimbatore) 65-58 to clinch the basketball title in the second State-level inter-school sports tournament for the STC Trophy at the Sree Saraswathy Thyagaraja College courts in Pollachi on Friday. TAHSS (Thiruvidaimaruthur) and St. Paul’s HSS (Salem) took home the ball badminton and volleyball titles respectively.

The results: Basketball: Final: PSG Sarvajana HSS (Coimbatore) bt Sports Hostel (Coimbatore) 65-58. Third place: NLC (Neyveli) bt GBHSS (Karur) 65-53.
