Host PSG College of Arts and Science played a brilliant last quarter to edge out a fighting Karunya University 58-54 in a quarterfinal clash of the 40th State-level inter-collegiate floodlit basketball tournament for the PSG Trophy at the PSG CAS courts here on Wednesday.

Nihal Ahamed (28 points) played a stellar role for the winner.

Earlier, Madras Christian College (Chennai), riding on the brilliance of M. Kasi Rajan (27), defeated CSI Bishop Appasamy College (Coimbatore) 67-49 for a place in the last four.
