Hundreds from skipper Pratyush Singh and Prashant Bhandari helped Delhi reach 284 for five on the opening day of the semifinals of the Vijay Merchant Trophy all-India cricket tournament against Uttar Pradesh here on Thursday.

At Palakkad, Maharashtra was bowled out for 267 by Rajasthan, which was 52 for one at close.
