Prakash Amritraj knocked out second-seeded Amir Weintraub of Israel 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 in the pre-quarterfinals of the $50,000 Challenger tennis tournament at Karshi, Uzbekistan, on Wednesday.

In doubles, however, Prakash and Vishnu Vardhan lost 6-2, 6-0 to third-seeded Radu Albot of Moldova and Oleksandr Nedovyesov of Ukraine in the quarterfinals.

Divij-Purav duo advances

It was double delight for the third-seeded Divij Sharan and Purav Raja as they posted a 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 victory over Hsin-Han Lee and Hsien-Yin Peng of Chinese Taipei in the pre-quarterfinals of the $125,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Kunming, China, on Wednesday.

The Indian duo then got a walkover in the quarterfinals from Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland and Tatsuma Ito of Japan.
