The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) will facilitate the launch of the second ‘air range’ at the Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh, as a joint venture with Delhi Gurudwara Prandhak Committee and its own affiliate Sportzcraft.
The first of the 200 targeted ranges was inaugurated by the Sports Minister Ajay Maken at Patel Nagar in May, and has 123 registered members and 40 daily shooters.
Three more such ranges are scheduled to be opened in various Guru Harkrishan Public Schools. The air conditioned ranges will have facilities including a mini-gym, consumables like targets and pellets, world class weapon and coaches. They will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It was stated in a release by the NRAI that 12 sessions of 40 shots, inclusive of all consumables would approximately cost Rs.1500, for an aspiring shooter. — Special Correspondent
