Shyam Sundar shines
G. Shyam Sundar cracked a fine century (101, 12x4, 3x6) as Vizag Colts walloped Victoria CC by 181 runs to enter the semifinals of the inaugural A.B. Mallikarjun memorial invitation cricket tournament here on Thursday.
K.S. Bharat came up with a knock of 78 (12x4, 1x6) as Vizag Colts batsmen scored freely against Victoria CC to amass 339 for seven. Victoria CC was all out for 158 with Brahmananda Reddy picking up four wickets. Only B. Sudhakar played with confidence in his knock of 82 (10x4, 1x6).
Cavaliers defended its total of 157 well to beat Solos C.C. by 42 runs in the other quarterfinal. Cavaliers CC meets Metro CC and Vizag Colts faces Gajuwaka Greens in Friday’s semifinals.
