: Neha Tripathi won the first leg of the 15-leg Hero-RCGC women’s professional golf championship here on Thursday. The city-based 20-year-old carded 77 in the third and final round to take the title with a total of 226.

Another Kolkata golfer and hot favourite Smriti Mehra ended second best with a total of 229.

Smriti brought in four over 76 in the final round.

Neha was awarded Rs. 1 lakh for her winning effort, while runner-up Smriti received Rs. 80,000.

The next leg will be played at the Tollygunge Club course on February 5, 6 and 7.
