Chennai: The National Cricket Academy's (NCA) South Zone training programme began at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Saturday. The camp concludes on May 25.

Former India batsman Parthasarathy Sharma (coach-in-charge), and former South Zone cricketers Vivek Jaisimha and D. Vasu are the coaches. A.T. Rajamani Prabhu is the Physical Trainer.

The 14 cricketers picked from the camp will represent South Zone in the Col. Hemu Adhikari Trophy inter-zonal tournament.

The cricketers at the camp are: V. Sandeep, B. Sumanth, D. Shivakumar, G.V.S. Prasad, K. Bharat Reddy (all Andhra), Ninas Pawaskar, Ryan D'Souza, Sourav Bhandekar (all Goa), D.B. Ravi Teja, V.E. Sundeep Rajan, S.M. Shoaib, N. Yuvraj Yadav, A. Lalith Mohan, Shivraj Deshmukh (all Hyderabad), S. Vinodh, Ganesh Satish, N. Sunil Raju, M.R. Darshan (all Karnataka), M.E. Sanuth, Santu Jose, Raji lal (all Kerala), and Abhinav Mukund, K.H. Gopinath, M. Praveen Srivatsan, and Malolan Rangarajan (all Tamil Nadu).
