Naresh Rishubh Naik of Goa won the Rohini CET first Kanyakumari International FIDE Rated chess tournament, organised by Kanyakumari District chess association at the Rohini CET here on Monday.

He won the first eight rounds and drew the final game against runner up P.K. Suresh of Kerala to finish with 8.5 points.

B. Vinodh Kumar of Pudhucherry tied with Suresh at second place with eight points but was placed third based on tiebreak score.
