The sixth and final leg of the National TSD ‘Mysore Safari’ motor rally was ceremonially flagged off at the Mysore Palace premises here on Friday evening by JK Tyre & Industries Ltd. vice-president (Works) Umesh K. Shenoy.

The JK Tyre FMSCI Indian national TSD Rally championship is conducted under the aegis of the FMSCI and Berunda Adventure Club, Mysore.

The rally will cover a distance of 170km on Saturday passing through Nanjangud, Gundlepet, Heggadadevana Kote and Hunsur before winding up at Mysore’s Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel in the afternoon.

Satish Gopalakrishnan (78 points) tops the pro-expert driver championship tally, while Savera D’Souza leads the pro-expert co-driver championship (78).

Meanwhile, Bangalore’s Chidananda Murthy and Tata Motors currently lead the pro-stock driver and constructor championships respectively. — Correspondent
