B. Moulika Ram was the surprise finalist in the girls' under-18 section of the BTA-AITA tennis series at the BTA Complex here on Thursday. Moulika shocked second seed Aandrita Deb 7-5, 6-1. She will take on the overwhelming favourite Amrita Mukherjee in the final. Moulika will also figure in the final of the under-14 group.
The results: Semifinals: Boys: U-18: Manish Kumar bt Dev Fazal 6-1, 6-1; Ayush Mintri bt Ishaque Eqbal 6-3, 6-4.
U-14: Ekalavya Singh bt Vikash Singh 6-2, 6-1; Ishaque Eqbal bt Nitin Kumar Sinha 6-1, 6-1.

Sunfeast junior meet
The Sunfeast junior tennis super series, organised by former India coach, Akhtar Ali, has attracted more than 400 participants in two age categories — under-14 and 16. These boys and girls will vie for six titles. Doubles are restricted only to the under-16 section.
The main round matches will begin from Monday and the tournament will end on Saturday at the South Club courts.
Prominent entries in the boys' under-16 category are Anvit Bendre (Mah), Garvit Batra (Del), Shashank Nautiyal (Del), Ayush Mintri (Pun), M. Azhar (Ben), Ranjeet Singh (Chd), Vignesh Prabhu (TN) and Deepak Vishwakarma (UP).
Sneha Devi Reddy (Mah), Teertha Iska (AP), C. Sai Samitha (TN), Dhruti T. Venugopal (Kar), Simran Kaur Sethi (Del), Aandrita Deb (Ben), Victoria Chahal (Har) and Roma Chandiran (TN) are some of the important names in girls' under-16 section.
Gauri stays ahead
Gauri Monga of Delhi carded two over 72 to continue her lead with a two-day gross of 143 in the gold division of the 49th Tollygunge Club ladies amateur golf here on Thursday.
She is closely followed by another Delhi player, Gurbani Singh, who shot a round of 76, six over the par to tally 148.
The overnight top three positions remained unchanged as city golfer Meher Atwal took the third spot with a gross score of 77 and a total of 153.
The second day of the tournament saw Gauri widening her lead to a comfortable five strokes over Gurbani. However, the latter continued to top in the Rasoi Cup, which is the net prize for gold division, with a score of 138 net.
The gross score event of the gold division, where Gauri is leading, is for the Tollygunge Challenge Cup.
