VISAKHAPATNAM: The ACA’s inter-zone limited-overs and longer duration cricket tournaments at Vizianagaram have been badly affected by rain and another 50-overs-a-side match between two sets of probables on Thursday, to provide a better chance for the players, was also washed out.
A three-day selection match for the S.L. Narayana Row Trophy was scheduled to be played from Thursday, but the ACA decided to hold a one-day match followed by a two-day match to provide opportunity for more players to impress the selectors.
The match was reduced to 40-overs-a-side and ACA ‘B’ was 35 for eight, but ACA ‘A’ could not play due to a heavy rain.
Leg-spinner Bhargav claimed four wickets for nine runs and medium-pacer Sagar claimed two wickets.
ACA ‘B’ 35 for eight in 23 overs (Bhargav four for nine) vs. ACA ‘A’ (match abandoned due to rain).
