India’s Arjun Ghosh and Rohit Rajasekhar downed Michal Benes and Jakub Seibert of the Czech Republic 15-13, 11-6, 11-8, 4-11, 16-14 and 4-11, 11-6, 8-11, 10-12, 11-9, 14-12, 11-9 respectively in the qualifying rounds of the Volkswagen World junior table tennis championships here on Thursday.

In the girls’ section, Manika Batra had it easy against Egypt’s Yousra Helmy, winning 14-12, 11-5, 12-10, 11-4 and then got a walkover from Lucia Truksova of Slovakia to move into the main draw.
