: G. Sruta Kirti and Saranya Nagpal of Andhra Pradesh won the girls' under-14 title in the Oil Super Series tennis tournament in Guwahati on Thursday, according to information received here.

The Andhra pair shocked top-seeded C. S. Praneetha and Deepika Sendil of Tamil Nadu 7-5, 7-5 in the final.

Chess tournament

Brilliant Chess Academy will organise the 50th Brilliant Trophy Open chess tournament on July 10 and 11 on its premises in Dilsukhnagar here with a total prize money of Rs. 10,000.

Ranga Reddy District Table Tennis Association will organize State-ranking table tennis tournament from July 9 to 11 at Secunderabad Club in different age groups including veterans for the first time, according to Prakash Raju, secretary of RRDTTA.

About 400 entries had already confirmed and include national players like Nikhat Banu, K. Spoorthy, who recently won US Open under-13 singles title, and top-seeded Krishna Kiriti in men's section.

The seedings:
