Kerala Ranji star Abhishek Hegde hit 91 as IOB (Chennai) brushed aside Thiruvananthapuram’s Muthoot Yamaha Masters by 80 runs and entered the semifinals of the 26th BPCL all-India cricket tournament at Ambalamugal on Friday evening.

In another quarterfinal, former Kerala captain Raiphi Vincent Gomez’s 89 and C.P. Shahid’s five wickets helped SBT (Thiruvananthapuram) defeat host BPCL Kochi Refinery by 27 runs.

Meanwhile the KCA Senior Academy, packed with junior talent, continued its stunning run and made it to the last-four stage along with Kochi’s Tripunithura CC.
