New Delhi:India's Joshna Chinappa won the German ladies' Open beating Swiss opponent Gaby Schmohl in the final of the $9,200 WISPA World Tour event at the Squash Centre in Saarbrucken.

The second seed from Chennai dismissed the unexpected finalist Swiss No. 1 Schmohl 11-6, 11-7, 11-6 in just 22 minutes on Sunday to earn the fourth WISPA Tour title of her career.

In the semifinals, she had defeated French qualifier Melissa Alves 11-5, 11-5, 11-6 in 16 minutes, while she routed eighth-seeded Carrie Ramsey of England 11-3, 11-8, 11-3 in 18 minutes in the quarterfinals.

In the first round of the main draw, she had earned a hard-fought victory over Czech qualifier Veronika Koukalova 11-6, 11-7, 14-12 in 21 minutes. — PTI
