Jitu Rai shot 579 to miss the final by one point in men’s air pistol in the shooting World Cup in Fort Benning, US, on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Jitu Rai, competing in only his second World Cup as part of the main team, shot a series of 98, 96, 98, 96, 95 and 96, to be placed 11th among 36 shooters. He was among the top three until he spoilt his case in the fifth series.
