NEW DELHI: Jeev Milkha Singh, Gaganjeet Bhullar, Jyoti Randhawa, Arjun Atwal and Shiv Kapur will come together to strengthen India’s challenge in the inaugural edition of the 1.5 million euros Avantha Masters golf tournament that tees off at the DLF Golf and Country Club, Gurgaon, on February 11.
The leading overseas names for this event, jointly sanctioned by the European Tour, the Asian Tour and the domestic PGTI, include China’s Liang Wen Chong, Thailand’s Thaworn Wiratchant, Chapchai Nirat, all winners of the Asian Tour Order of Merit.
Other Asian Tour regulars like Prayad Marksaeng (Thailand), Mardan Mamat (Singapore), Marcus Both and Lam Chih Bing will also be around.
The reigning Indian Open champion C. Muniyappa, 2008 Emmar Masters winner S.S.P. Chowrasia, Anirban Lahiri and Gaurav Ghei will also be part of the field. — Special Correspondent
