Delhi and Tamil Nadu will clash in the three-day final of the all-India Coromandel King Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup cricket tournament to be played here from September 10. In the semifinals on Sunday, both Delhi and Tamil Nadu qualified for the final by virtue of first innings lead after heavy rain washed out play in the second-half of the final day’s proceedings.

At Uppal Stadium, the slender, four-run lead which Delhi managed in the first innings against Hyderabad proved to be decisive in the final analysis.

The scores (semifinals):

Delhi 387 for six in 90 overs & 307 for eight in 40 overs (Mohit Sharma 57, Punit Bhist 60, Milind Kumar 101 n.o., Jagrit 32) drew with Hyderabad 383 for eight in 90 overs & 11 for one in 3.2 overs. Play called off due to rain; Delhi qualified for final on first innings lead .

Karnataka 387 in 90 overs & 242 in 38.4 overs (K.L. Rahul 102, Konal Kapoor 32, Karun Nair 55, Rahil Shah three for 74, R. Rohit three for 51) drew with Tamil Nadu 392 in 90 overs & 13 for no loss in three overs. Play called off due to rain; TN qualified for final on first innings lead .
