BANGALORE: Karnataka State Police was leading 1-0 over Rail Wheel Factory before bad light stopped play after 48 minutes in the first semifinal of the Travancore Cup hockey tournament here on Wednesday. After a delayed start as a result of a power problem leading to non-functioning of the sprinklers (the turf had to be watered manually), KSP took the lead through Mohan Kumar in the fifth minute off a penalty corner.

The match will continue before the second semifinal on Thursday and the remaining 22 minutes will be completed. The second semifinal between SAI `A' and PCTC will commence at 3.30 p.. Special Correspondent
