Top Indian shuttlers P.V. Sindhu and P. Kashyap suffered defeats in the semifinals as India’s campaign in the $125,000 Swiss Grand Prix Gold tournament came to an end, here on Saturday.

Sindhu squandered a first game advantage to go down 18-21, 21-12, 21-19 to China’s Sun Yu in a 79-minute women’s singles semifinal. This was Sindhu’s third loss to Sun as she had last lost to the Chinese in the All England recently.Kashyap, seeded third, too slumped to a 21-17, 21-11 loss to World No. 27 China’s Houwei Tian. — PTI
