India beat Pakistan 48-39 to emerge champion in the fourth World Cup Kabaddi here on Saturday night.

Defending champion India retained the title for the fourth consecutive term defeating Pakistan by a margin of nine points.

Besides, the winner’s trophy, India bagged a cash award of two crore rupees.

Pakistan got Rs. one crore for finishing as runner-up.

The best raider and stopper of the game, both from the Indian team, were awarded tractors.

It was a close contest between the two sides in the first-half. However, as the match progressed India started dominating and finally outsmarted Pakistan. — PTI
