Fine efforts by Ravi Rathore (5) ad Samir Suhag (4) proved inadequate as India lost to Italy 12-13 in the second league match of the World Cup polo at Estancia Grande Polo Club, San Luis, Argentina.

Tarun Sirohi and Vishal Chauhan scored a goal each for India which had started with an advantage of a goal on handicap.

Pulling ahead

India had led 5-3 at the end of the second chukker and 10-9 at the end of the fourth chukker, but the Italians pulled ahead at the crunch with conviction.

India had earlier beaten Mexico.

Host India is scheduled to take on Pakistan and Argentina in the remaining part of the league matches.
