The Indian challenge ended in the WSF women’s world team squash championship as Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa lost to Egyptian rivals in the quarterfinals in Nimes, France, on Thursday. Second-seeded Egypt took just six games to eliminate India. While Dipika went down to Raneem El Weleily 14-16, 4-11, 7-11 in a marathon battle, Joshna lost 7-11, 6-11, 9-11 to Nour El Sherbinia.

The third and final match between Nour El Tayeb and Anaka Alankamony was thus rendered inconsequential.
