With a majority of the India ‘A’ players, 10 to be precise, doing duty with the Indian team currently in Zimbabwe, coach Lalchand Rajput and the remaining six cricketers from the 16-member squad commenced a refresher camp at the National Cricket Academy here on Thursday.

Murali Vijay, Wriddhiman Saha, Shahbaz Nadeem, Stuart Binny, Ishwar Pandey and Siddarth Kaul reported to the NCA for the three-day camp that will conclude on Saturday.

The six players and Rajput will leave for South Africa during the weekend and will link-up with the rest of the team under skipper Cheteshwar Pujara.

India ‘A’ will play in a triangular one-day series involving the ‘A’ sides of host South Africa and Australia besides two four-day games against the Proteas in the tour stretching from August 8 to 27. — Special Correspondent
