KOLKATA: The league sub-committee of the Kolkata Football League will meet here on Thursday to discuss the referee's report and the video recording of the East Bengal-Mohammedan Sporting match that saw an unprecedented four red cards.

Two players each from East Bengal — Alvito D'Cunha and Uga Okpara — and Mohammedan Sporting — Eduardo Escobar and Dipankar Roy — were ejected after the players came to blows over a foul late in the match played on Saturday (February 27).

The behaviour of the players came in for severe criticism and the organiser, Indian Football Association, decided to review the match. The IFA secretary, Utpal Ganguly, has said that stringent action would be taken against those found guilty. — Principal Correspondent
