HYDERABAD: Hyderabad defeated Kadapa 4-0 in the final of the State-level assessment hockey tournament, organised by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh, at Gachibowli Complex here on Sunday.
The host led 1-0 at the break through Rohit's solo effort in the 10th minute. In the second session, M. Ravikumar struck once and Abhinav Reddy twice to complete the tally.
Umesh Kumar, additional DGP and president of Hyderabad Hockey Association, gave away the prizes.

P.V.V. Seshu emerged winner in the Brilliant Trophy Open chess tournament with six points at the end of final round here on Sunday.
Though Seshu was tied with five others with six points each, he was declared winner by virtue of better progressive score.
Somesh, general secretary of AP Netball Association, Maj. K.A. Shiva Prasad, president of APCA, Kanna Reddy, secretary, gave away the prizes.
