KOZHIKODE: Ebin Rose scored a hat-trick to star in Travancore Titanium's 6-1 demolition of Cochin Port Trust in the Western Union State football league at the Corporation Stadium here on Monday. Dhinraj Kumar (2) and K.T. Abdul Hameed were the other scorers for the Thiruvananthapuram side, while T.S. Anoj netted for Port Trust.

Titanium's aggressive style was complemented by the Kochi side's poor defence. For Titanium, the hard-working Cleetus made most of goals and he was just about the difference between the two teams, with his speed, ball control and imaginative play.

Cleetus's efforts in the midfield were not wasted by the Titanium forwards. Dhinraj opened the scoring in the 11th minute by giving the finishing touch to the move initiated by Cleetus.

Port Trust equalised, within six minutes, through T.S. Anoj and that was the team's only memorable moment of the match.

Ebin struck in the 22nd, 48th and 89th minutes, with his second, a curling 25-yarder, being the pick. Dhinraj (60th) and Hameed (83rd) completed a tennis score.
